L’Shanah
Tovah! That’s Hebrew for “Happy New Year”, which we say in honor of the Jewish
New Year on Sunday. Instead of toasting lots of bubbly, this celebration
involves a big spread of food, Manischewitz wine and eating symbolic foods such
as apples dipped in honey. Dipping the apple in honey on Rosh Hashanah is said
to symbolize the desire for a sweet new year. Here is to a sweet new year!
Happy 5773!
