Party season is here as we gear up for Memorial Day Weekend! We've already discussed how to add some zest, so now it's on to the important stuff: food and drinks! Ultimately, this is what your guests will remember. We all have been to those summer parties where the food is subpar and you leave hungry and raid your fridge when you get home. Here are some tips so you aren't "that" party.
First, mix up some fun cocktails and always have plenty of beer and wine chilling in the coolers. Here are two of our favorite recipes of the summer.
Cucumber Martini
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
Chile-lime powder (recommended: Tajin, or salt)
2 cucumbers, peeled, thinly sliced
4 cups water
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 cup vodka
Acapulco Cliff Hanger
1 cup watermelon chunks, pureed in the blender and strained (makes about 1/3 cup)
2 ounces light tequila
1 ounce lemon simple syrup
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce Cointreau
Tab Infused Champagne

Now you've got the "wow" drinks served, make sure there are some amazing, fun foods to serve that go beyond the traditional burger.
Tuna Kabobs with Grilled Veggies
And don't forget the desserts for those with a sweet tooth. Here are some of our favorites.
