What Are You Registering For?

Gift registries are a big part of the wedding planning process and have even found there way to milestone events such as birthdays and anniversaries. While many find it strange to "request" particular gifts, it is helpful for guests who want to get you something that you actually want.  You also want to think about your interests and hobbies.  While something may seem weird, it's possible to register for almost anything in today's high tech world.

-organizing supplies: everything is easy when it is organized, plain and simple. Storage containers are usually never a thought in a registry, but in today's society newly weds move at least once after they get married.

 china
-china: the more, the merrier. Register for more china then you think you need because families grow in size, they move (causing things to break easier), and china also can get discontinued!

flannel sheets
-bedding: who doesn't love a bed with comfy sheets? Couples should register for sheets that are appropriate for all seasons, especially when living in New England! Once you've slept in a bed with flannel sheets on a cold winter night, we promise you will never go back!

-knives: many couples have it together when registering for kitchen appliances, except for knives. In general, you are cutting a piece of food at least two to three times a day, might as well have a sharp knife to do so!

 ornament
-seasonal items: think outside of the season you are getting married in. Register for items that cover all four seasons. For example, if you are getting married in the summer, think about registering for things that would be appropriate for the holiday season.  Especially those special holiday plates if you entertain the family.

Thinking about registering for something more nontraditional? While not for everyone, these sites provide some unique and creative ideas for setting up your registry.
